The handsewn boat shoe that started it all. With rubber slip-resistant soles, rawhide laces and non-corrosive brass eyelets. Genuine moccasin construction wraps the foot in a single piece of leather, creating a fit that’s uniquely your own.
Sebago sizes are confusing. I got a pair of Sebagos in black 7.5 2E (which are supposed to be wide) and they fitted so well that I decided to purchase another pair in navy (same size). To my surprise the new pair in the same size was nowhere similar to the first one I got this year. They are very narrow, Both on the shoe and on the box the size match so I don’t suppose it’s a mistake. I’ll have to give them away because I had them shipped overseas and there’s no way I can return them or exchange them. I love the design…
I LIVE in these shoes I got a pair of Sebago Docksides in High School back in 1980 and absolutely loved them. I loved them so much I bought another pair, and then another, and another still. I one point I went cheap and got Sperrys, but I came right back to Sebago. With my wide left foot I need wider sizes and the comfort and durability of these shoes are both just phenomenal.
Narrow and no foot / arch support I take a 9 EE in almost every other brand of shoe and they are all a tad big on me which is fine as I like to wear black athletic socks with cushioned soles and then they fit perfectly. I wear boat shoes without any socks in the summer and these new Sabago’s feel narrow and tight. I am hoping they will stretch, but out of the box they were uncomfortable. Also there is no arch support to speak of, My old timberland had nice arch support.
