The leather is made of very comfortable soft leather that is ready to wear right out of the box. It fits bigger then a nike running shoe. If you wear a 10 in nike you may want to consider a nine and a half in this shoe. I bought these shoes for work and they look great with slacks and a polo. I am very happy with my purchase.
